
Mimic Fitness
Objectives:
This project is an app designed to allow you to compete against your favorite athletes in exercises. Using a vast selection of superstars, you can customize your experience to your liking. This allows the user to chose their path and motivation making it more personalized and easier to follow. I also wanted to include some basic workouts for those not as versed in physical activity. This will give them a great head start when they decide to move onto facing an athlete.
I also created a compete screen that has competing bars which show who has done more of a certain thing throughout the week. This gives more motivation to the user by demonstrating how they stack up against their chosen athlete. While they may not be on the same level that constant drive will keep them physically fit and healthy.
Strategies:
The UI was meant to be clean and simple like most fitness apps. The layout and color choices were all made to really pop against the darker blue background and create a feeling of futuristic/clean design. This allowed the clickable options to be obvious and helped the user navigate the UI with ease.

The goals page is an essential piece of Mimic that provides both information and motivation.
The top section provides basic information like steps, your time active throughout the week, and the percentage of workouts completed. This gives a perspective on your weekly performance and allows you to focus on different aspects of your physical activity.
Compete
The compete section is the bread and butter of Mimic and pairs you against your current athlete.
The two competing bars show who’s winning for the week and how far ahead either person may be. While it may be extremely difficult to keep up with the athlete, it provides another push of motivation to keep exercising and keeps the user healthy.
Progress
The progress section provides a game-like experience that enhances the user’s workouts.
The challenges provided by this section give a focused perspective to workouts that can influence the workouts or athletes that you chose. They also award experience which gives another boost of motivation to increase your level.
